Tech from Hel is an information and how-to site based on one web developer’s experience with open-source and freeware web tools. Articles are written to be simple and easy to understand by anyone with a basic knowledge of html.
About Me
My name is Helene. I am a web developer and computer expert with over 15 years of work experience in the IT field. I have a strong background in database development, unix admin, and IT management. My current specialty is PHP/MySQL web development. 
I started working with open source web tools and CMS software in 2006. I documented my experiences on this and other web sites to share my knowledge with web newbies or anyone interested in learning from my web development experiences.
I am currently looking for a permanent, full-time job, but will accept short-term, contractual work if I can fit it into my schedule. Feel free to contact me if you need help setting up a new web site or to add features and plugins to an existing site. I can either telecommute or work onsite in the northern New Jersey area (USA).
